Capabilities

Delivery lifecycle

1. Assess

Agree priorities with business owners and IT teams. Review dependencies, constraints and operational risks before defining the engagement.

Typical outputs: Scope and success criteria, Environment and dependency inventory, Prioritized risk register, Roles and responsibilities.

Approval point: Customer sponsor and technical owner agree scope, exclusions and success criteria.

2. Design

Develop a solution around capacity, security and continuity requirements. Agree recovery objectives and identify licensing, procurement and integration dependencies.

Typical outputs: Solution design and assumptions, Capacity and security requirements, Agreed recovery objectives, Design decisions and dependencies.

Approval point: Technical owner reviews the design; sponsor approves the agreed scope and delivery baseline.

3. Plan

Coordinate resources, maintenance windows and communications. Define testing, rollback triggers and responsibilities before changes reach production.

Typical outputs: Milestones and resource plan, Change and communication plan, Migration and rollback runbook, Test and acceptance plan.

Approval point: Authorized customer change owner approves the implementation window, prerequisites and go/no-go criteria.

4. Implement

Execute the agreed plan, record changes and track risks and issues. Escalate material deviations for review before extending the approved scope.

Typical outputs: Implementation and change records, Progress and issue reports, Configuration evidence, Updated risk and decision log.

Approval point: Technical leads review readiness and resolve or explicitly accept issues before validation.

5. Validate

Test the solution against acceptance criteria. Where included in scope, verify backups and recovery procedures, record results and track outstanding actions.

Typical outputs: Acceptance test results, Recovery test evidence where scoped, Outstanding actions and owners, Acceptance decision.

Approval point: Customer acceptance owner signs off results or records conditional acceptance with dated actions.

6. Handover

Transfer documentation and knowledge to the operating team. Agree escalation routes, support coverage and review arrangements before project closure.

Typical outputs: As-built and operating documentation, Knowledge transfer, Support and escalation matrix, Closure and lessons learned.

Approval point: Operations owner accepts handover; sponsor confirms closure and any separately agreed support scope.

Engagement and governance

Engagements may cover an assessment and roadmap, a defined implementation or migration project, or support for an existing environment. Each begins with agreed objectives, scope, exclusions, responsibilities and acceptance criteria.

Where ongoing support is included, coverage hours, severity definitions, response targets, escalation routes, reporting cadence and customer responsibilities are agreed in the service arrangement. Recovery targets and expected migration downtime are assessed and agreed per environment.
